BPC Circuits Ltd has an enviable reputation of providing quick and easy solutions to supply problems, regarded as insoluble by its competitors. One case in point occurred at the end of the last century when the Company was asked to develop a hardware and software “fix” to a supply problem caused by the withdrawal of a strategic part in a range of jukeboxes manufactured in Germany. The manufacturer of the part had designed a replacement which was not backward compatible with older products, effectively making repairs impossible. BPC Circuits developed a kit to make the replacement part compatible, thus effectively rescuing thousands of jukeboxes which would otherwise have been scrapped were it not for BPC’s Research and Development team. BPC took over the manufacturing of NSM Music’s jukeboxes a few years later and since then has been responsible for the development and production of more than two dozen new jukeboxes, background music systems and videogames terminals. According to BPC’s Head of Development, Rakesh,Desai: “Our co-operation with NSM Music is based on teamwork and lots of effective brainstorming between the two partners. We feel that the success of NSM’s innovative products can be summed up in one sentence": “We listen to our customers and give them the benefit of our experience.”
